Dr Mark Page
MBBS (Hons) FRACP DDU

Dr Mark Page is a Consultant Physician with special interests in general medicine, infectious diseases and cardiac medicine. He has completed additional training in echocardiography (heart ultrasounds) and cardiac device (pacemakers/defibrillators) implantation and follow up.

From Botanic Medical Specialists Dr Page offers:

  • Review consultations for new and previously seen patients.
  • Echocardiogram studies - to examine the structure and function of your heart muscle and valves. This is performed by one of the qualified echo technicians supervised by Dr Page and the studies are then reported by him.
  • Stress testing - both standard (treadmill only) and echocardiogram based (heart ultrasound pictures used as an additional assessment tool). These functional tests are used to determine if someone has inadequate blood supply to the heart muscle (coronary disease). Dr Page also offers dobutamine stress echocardiograms - a test of heart blood supply using a medication (dobutamine) to exercise the heart, when patients are unable to exercise adequately themselves.
  • Cardiac device follow up - for pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders. Dr Page provides follow up for four different brands - Biotronik, Boston, Medtronic and St Jude. Clinics are usually performed by Dr Page with the assistance of an experienced technician from the relevant device company.

A referral from your GP or another doctor is required for you to undergo any of the services offered.

With the assistance of your GP, Dr Page looks forward to offering you caring and comprehensive specialist medical care.
